Filsafat Ayam Potong
Beberapa ekor ayam duduk termenung dalam keranjang bertingkat yang dibawa mobil pick up dari Banjarmasin ke Palangka Raya. Atau bisa saja dikirimkan ke kota-kota di Kalimantan Tengah sepanjang poros jalur selatan.
Di antara mobil-mobil tersebut ada yang enam tingkat dan ada pula yang hanya tiga atau empat tingkat.
Setiap tingkat diisi dengan ayam yang berbeda-beda kesegaran dan kekuatannya.
Enam tingkatan ini mengingatkan aku akan pelajaran sejarah dan IPS tentang strata tingkatan masyarakat sebagaimana di India.
Tingkatan-tingkatan yang masing-masing berisi ayam dimulai dari tingkat atas hingga tingkat terendah dengan bak dasar.
Ayam-ayam yang berada di tingkat atas aman dari serangan kotoran temannya, sebab berada paling atas dan pada bagian itu paling banyak mendapatkan kesegaran angin jika mobil pick up-nya berlari kencang.
Akibat sering mendapatkan kesegaran angin, ayam-ayam ini seringkali “masuk angin” dan berakhir dengan membuang kotoran.
Karena kotoran ayam bekerja dipengaruhi gravitasi, maka kotorannya akan jatuh ke bawah dan mengenai ayam-ayam pada tingkat 2, begitu seterusnya ayam-ayam ini membuang kotorannya kepada rekannya ayam di tingkat yang bagian bawah.Yang paling mengerikan adalah ayam yang ditaruh pada keranjang yang bertingkat paling bawah sebab menerima hujan kotoran dari rekan-rekan di atasnya yang sering masuk angin. 
Dari keseluruhan tingkatan ayam tersebut, kesemuanya dibawa ke rumah pemotongan ayam.
Keseluruhan ayam-ayam itu adalah ayam potong yang akan menyerahkan nyawanya kepada tukang jagal dan kita nikmati sebagai Ayam Goreng, Ayam Goreng Kalasan, Ayam Bakar, Ayam Panggang, Ayam Bakar Taliwang, Ayam goreng kecap, ayam goreng asam manis, ayam ca jamur, dan lain-lain.
Apakah yang dipikirkan seekor ayam ?
Tidak juga berguna, sebab otak mereka kecil sama kecilnya dengan kotoran yang dihasilkan kloaka-nya !

Tard dans la nuit, alors que je me reposais après avoir pratiqué 2h intenses de Squash, mon iguane asthmatique a renversé du Coca sur mon radio-réveil qui n’a donc pas sonné, et ce n’est qu’au moment où les pompes-funèbres (venues chercher ma belle-mère) ont sonné à la porte que j’ai repris connaissance.
